Hi all. So, I'm part of a 28 team 7x7 H2H league where up to 700 active players are accumulating stats. There are also over 1500 minor league players rostered. Yeah, it's deep. I've got some roster decisions to make and thought I might could get some advice and stir up conversation on the boards.
So, we use 40-man rosters and I'm pretty maxed out with only 3-4 available slots (7 slots actually available, but I need to fill 2-3 starting slots and call up Addison Russell who will be filling a 4th slot). I could also cut loose Shane Greene (2 more years available at min salary) or Henderson Alvarez (1 year control at close to min salary).
Interested to hear what others have to say about them and who I should be looking to trade and/or not worry about at all.
As a note, relief pitchers who get holds and have a good rate stats have value. 4th OF who excel at something (counting stats, HR, SB, etc.) have value. Pure bench warmers do not.
These two I feel are keepers
Jeimer Candelario Max Stassi
These are my next tier
A.J. Schugel Joe Biagini (not attached to him and most likely to garner an OK return) Aaron West
Steven Okert
Cam Gallagher (sucker for a catcher in 2-catcher leagues; see Max Stassi above)
Lots of probably nothing
Courtney Hawkins
Luigi Rodriguez Michael Mariot Joey Krehbiel Austin Adams (LAA 40-man call up) Andrew Barbosa Michael Roth Eric Stamets Seth Mejias-Brean Ian Gardeck (SFG 40-man call up)

FYI, you probably already know it but Biagini will get a chance to start next year. So he might end up being a 4th SP rather than a good holds guy. Hard to say.

Wow, and I thought Diamond Duos went deep with minors. I don't even know most of these guys so can't give much advice there. Seems like Hawkins has been a White Sox prospect for 6 years so not sure there's much value there. I like Stassi and thought he'd have more MLB time last year but didn't. Greene has way more value in the bullpen and has had a little bit of success there this past season. He got crushed in the SP role. I don't have any good feeling about Alvarez which is why I just released him here in DD3.
Oh yeah, I love Candelario. He was supposed to be one of my original 25 Cubs prospects in this league but someone screwed me out of that happening! Just thinking about that irks me.

Let's just say that league has sucked so much brain space having at least fleeting knowledge of so many guys. One advantage is that any time a prospect is mentioned, I either a) know him, b) know the guy is way-off-the-wall, c) recent or potential draftee or international signing.
