Bos Gives:
Matt Shoemaker LAA 16:$0.5M, 17:$0.5M, 18:$1M, 19:$2M, 20:$3M 8th round pick 9th round pick 10th round pick
Pitt Gives:
1st round pick (CHI/SOX) acquired in the pre-season 3 rd mini-draft draft 3rd round pick
Tripp has been remaking his team so I checked in to see if I could get the Cobbler (Shoemaker) to help my team’s biggest weakness. Not a big fan of giving up the first round pick, but pitching is a bit tough to come by right now so I figured I would gamble on a cost controlled arm while I wait for my SPs to regain some health and a few get promoted from AAA. If Shoemaker can have a few more months like this past month then I did OK and if he regresses to the guy he was earlier in the season the Tripp got something for nothing. We will see how it goes.

Agree to the deal (I believe the 1st originally belonged to Scott?). As J said, he's in it to win it and in better position to do so than I am. Shoemaker has been on fire lately, so I was able to get a couple high picks in return. I'm hoping Shoemaker stays hot enough to make this deal worth it for both sides, but not too hot that I regret it. My main reason for doing this is Shoemaker is near 30 and will be 32/33 by the time most of my young specs are big league ready. Hope to recoup a high value prospect or two out of this deal.

Are all these picks for 2017? Remember, these 8th, 9th, and 10th round picks might be worthless and not even used if Pittsburgh can't draft more than 7 players based on the maximum 60.

Thanks. Commish approved.
Looks like trade puts Pittsburgh $355K over cap in 2016 so please post a move to fix that.
