Henry and myself had some extended negotiations on this deal, spanning over several days (mostly due to me being unusually busy with my job LOL). Pitching is my weakest link at this time, so I am continually trying to bolster it. I've been keeping an eye on Straily, and he has been pitching pretty good. If I can just get some quality starts, not have his ERA blow up, throw in some Ks, then I'm a happy camper (watch out Alex, I'm gunning for you!). Both prospects on my end have some upside (but, as I said to Henry - "I guess ALL prospects have some sort of upside right?" LOL). I am always looking at bolstering my pitching prospects, so those were a couple that I was interested in. Thanks Henry for your patience in making this deal happen (as well as entertaining my constant counters LOL).

Agreed
Haha there were one or two counters in this one, mainly debating players who with almost 100% certainty can say will be of no fantasy baseball relevance. Though I did say 'almost'!
Joking aside, the main part is Straily and the two guys coming my way. Straily is a useful player who can help a competing team at low cost, and he's on a long contract which helps Brent feel he's not selling out too much. I think the guys I'm getting are fringy, but underrated. All in all great chats and a solid deal

Thanks Tripp! There are 12, but effectively 14 as each franchise has two parent franchise protection picks between the 2nd and 3rd rounds. In PFP you can keep two prospects from your team's parent franchises (eg in my case, minnesota or colorado)

Guys, I am sorry. I guess there is no mention of how the annual Minors draft works and what Parent Franchise Protection is all about. That should be in the rules and isn't. I'll have to add a section with an explanation of how this all works. These 9th and 11th round picks that Henry is trading may not even be able to be used by Brent if he doesn't have at least 9 or 11 open Minors spots going into the draft.
Aside from that and each owner needs to keep track of their Minors rosters and acquired picks, this deal is Commish approved.

Hi Brent, Scott- was just updating my roster and realised I had already traded away my 9th rounder so I was writing cheques my butt couldn't cash. So of course Brent can have my 8th rounder instead.

Hey, isn't that what they warned Maverick about in Top Gun (writing checks that his butt couldn't cash)? LOL! Thank you Henry I appreciate it. Very nice gesture and honestly I wouldn't expect anything less from a great guy like you. Thanks again!

Haha no problem at all- but far too kind considering the situation arose from my complete incompetence!
