Hi Guys,
Now that trading is wrapped up for the year I thought it would be fun to have a bit of a poll and discussion about the trades that happened this season. Which trade do you think was the best for both teams? The worst? Most lopsided? Craziest?

I thought Texas Alex reeling in Machado for the stretch run was a nice move, but also a great deal for St. Louis Drew getting Myers & others.
It's just too bad Manny's 3 HRs yesterday still went to St. Louis. Over/Under 3 Manny HRs for the rest of August anyone? I say Under.

Yah, well it's win win for me in a way. If Machado is shitty that's really good for my Blue Jays.

Nice Henry. Yeah I couldn't believe it when I saw that 22-player deal (and a draft pick!). How's it working out for them though?
For what it's worth figured I'd put this out there for you guys. I'm toiling in the middle of the pack (6th/7th place) in DD2. Had big expectations for a great year going into the season but since I'm 40 or so points off the pace I decided to make a big move. I traded Bryce Harper (16:$5.5M, 17:$6.5M, 18:$7.5M - an Arb contract) for the future and got prospects Yoan Moncada, Ozzie Albies and Tyler O'Neill. Thoughts? Our own Drew (St. Louis Orioles) is the team in DD2 that got Harper as he's trying to run down 2nd place and not sure if he can make a run at 1st. He won the whole thing last year.

I think that deal all depends on how one views Harper. My instinct is to say that you might have been able to find someone who would have paid more, but there an issue with dealing a highly valuable player.. teams are not willing to really gut themselves to acquire him. So you never really get the max value. Sort of what the Angels would run into trying to deal Trout in real life. Also Harper hasn't had as good a year as he did last year so....

Yea, it's all about whether Harper bounces back. If he can get back to hitting .270, I'll consider it a win. If not, I'm probably going to be disappointed.
