Seems like there is an issue with people frontloading contracts? I don't remember reading that in the constitution, I thought the only issue was with backloading....

Front loading or backloading doesn't really matter. As long as we stay within the 40% rule, it's all good.

I guess you could look at this contract offer as backloading, but it's within the 40% rule and is perfectly legal. This was a bid on a restricted free agent in Diamond Duos I last year.
2 years, $39M ($19.5M AAS) 15: $12M 16: $27M
40% of $19.5M is $7.8M, so lowest salary allowed would be $11.7M, highest would be $27.3M. This is allowed.
