Atlanta Indians (Brent), you know you just gave Deichmann the kiss of death, don't you? Mark it down. What you said on January 9, 2018.

Man I wanted to trade up in rd 3 and then my list got destroyed in the first 5 picks. Guess I should have tried harder.

I’m ready to pick as soon as last trade is approved. I’ll update my PB roster when I get home tonight.

Trade is approved but Boston has to now make another move because adding Kahnle puts him over 40.

As I wind down my 2018 Draft, I just want to say thanks to the guys manning the boards, tracking the trades, sending the reminders & keeping Fantrax up to date. I don’t know who does what, but I know it ain’t easy especially while trying to research and make your own selections and manage your personal lives. Big Shout Out to that group!

Thanks Sam! It's a lot of work but we love doing it. Although if you couldn't tell by my posted poll on the board (still need people to vote!) I'm totally reconsidering these in-draft trades - although I JUST made one with Alex for picks this round. Haha.

I think a good solution would be to deputize a couple of people for in-draft trading approvals. Most of these trades are very simple and not much to worry about. I'm sure someone who isn't commishing 4 leagues wouldn't mind contributing a bit of time

Yea, I think that might be a good idea. I'm happy to pitch in on that if needed.

Yes, the effort is appreciated. I am in favor of continuing to be allowed to trade the picks, but also in favor of making the process less demanding for 1 or 2 people. I am sure a viable solution is not out of reach.
On a related note, I would be interested in seeing if it would be possible to have a 'carry-over' pick system where one could opt out of the draft anytime between round 7 and 12 and then spend those saved picks to make a maximum of 2 in-season picks per month rather than 1.
I wanted to be brief in the suggestion and know it would need a few parameters defined, but I feel it would serve to streamline the draft and make the trading less demanding as well as allow some owners to add a few more risers over the Summer months.
Something maybe to consider for next year's draft.

J, definitely appreciate the idea. Whether we change the 12-round draft or not, and who can help deputize the trading of picks, is all good discussion. But I want to throw the hammer down there. No more than 1 minors claim per month. That's a BIG strategy of this league. If you notice Drew ALWAYS waits until the very end of the month to grab his minors guy and that's cool. That's his strategy. I often blow my pick early in the month when I see someone I want and then later in the month I'm hoping someone doesn't claim another player I want, which Drew always does.

Scott/Brent,
I think I should have space for my 10th round pick after my last trade, but it's marked as no space.

Guys, I'm not a fan of opening up spots during the draft via trade. We cannot drop, release or promote during the draft to open up spots.
If I have 52 going into draft, I only have 8 spots. Period. Doesn't matter what moves I make during the draft. Everyone has to know where they are at all times.

I just traded a few picks that I couldn't use. from the rules: Doesn't say you cannot trade picks that you can't use.
