So I approached Jay a couple weeks ago inquiring about Davis as that is one of many weakness on my team 1B. He said he would get back to me later in the season and now its later and we revisited trade talks. Davis being hurt right now does not bother me. I'm looking into future for next year and I believe these two pieces help me out tremendously. Barnhart is a decent C that plays and right now I have 2 C that play very sparingly. As far as my end I hated moving Soler and Jones. Jones had good potential and is just tapping into it. Getting traded waa a good move for Soler cause it have him a spot to play but sense his injury and now being in minors I'm guessing they are just taking it slow with him. Both of those players I might regret trading but with Davis I don't think I can go wrong.
Always great talks with Jay.

Accept,
I traded the most proven commodity in the deal in Davis with an eye toward next year's roster construction since this year is quickly becoming a lost campaign. I feel Soler will be a contributor in 2018 and this deal will put me in a more favorable position salary cap wise in 2018. I liked adding Jones and a pick to add some depth to the farm. Clay got a proven 30-40 hr bat for the upcoming seasons.

Commish approved. Processing on Fantrax.
Pittsburgh at 36 majors after this deal and must get to at least 37.
