Same strategy as I have been playing with since day one- want to win now and Brent is moving too far away from me lol. I needed pitching and think Scherzer will help. I was a bit leery about taking on his contract especially in 2019, but I guess I'll deal with that when the time comes.

LA Reds agree. Having been hampered by long term injuries at nearly every position, it seems it was time to forego 1st place and begin getting my team ready for sustained success. Something I could not do with with my roster set up as it was. PhilAstros were ready to deal and were not looking to drag out the process. I'm happy with Candelario as the centerpiece and I am confident I will turn those draft picks into near term roster-able positions. The rest of the deal is just math for the most part with the possibility of Kipness yielding some form of dividend.

I have to assume all of these picks are 2018 Minors picks? That should be clear in the trade post.
