Hi all. Please post a short intro and let us know all about yourself, especially when it comes to #FantasyBaseball and any previous dynasty league experience. Let us know where you live now, where you're originally from, your favorite baseball teams (Majors & Minors) and anything else you'd like to mention. Thanks!

OK, where to start? You probably already know I'm a fantasy freak since this is my 3rd Diamond Duos dynasty league. Launched Diamond Duos in January 2013 for the 2013 season and we're coming to the end of our 3rd season. Launched Diamond Duos II this past January and we're finishing up our 1st season in 2015. Diamond Duos III will be the 3rd league in the brand, launching for 2016! Who knows what the future holds for expansion.
I've been Co-Commish in a 10-team $ league going back to 2000 with some buddies and old colleagues of mine. It's a very unique setup as we do BOTH Roto and H2H. The pot is split 50/50 so the Top 3 Roto finishers get a portion of the pot, and then the H2H winner and runner-up get a portion of the other half. We have transaction fees as well (for pick ups and trades) so the pot gets up there. We have a 32-man roster and are allowed to keep up to 12 players each year, with contracts based on round drafted or month picked up during the season. Traditional snake draft format with keepers slotted into specific rounds.
A college buddy of mine and I co-manage a team in a 16-team Roto keeper league. That's a $$ league too, but with an auction format and $260 pre-season cap and $300 in-season cap.
On the free, for-fun side of things I'm in several Yahoo leagues and all different formats. Plus I'm in a great 30-team dynasty league called WalkOff Dynasty that is probably the most detailed fantasy league I've ever been in and most closely mirrors how MLB is run. This is a H2H format league and I know the Commish and he's always looking for active owners to take over deadbeat owners' teams. Plus there are a couple Home Run pools I've gotten into as well. It just seems to never end with my fantasy baseball.
I tried writing for Dynasty Sports Empire last year in 2014. Did some articles on Red Sox and Top Prospects in all of #MiLB but I couldn't stick with the commitment to get 2 articles done per week and had to back out of my position. I live in Western Massachusetts (Longmeadow) and grew up outside Boston in Burlington, MA. Went to Syracuse for my undergrad. Married for coming up on 14 years and have 2 boys (almost 12 and 8). Now working as an Account Manager for Reminder Publications and Envision Marketing Group in East Longmeadow, MA.
Really excited to get this league going and looking forward to getting to know more about all of you. Good luck and have fun! Scott

Hey all!! This is my first Diamond Duos league but not my first time doing fantasy or dynasty leagues. I'm currently a member of 5 (way to many but it keeps me busy) free dynasty leagues with some guys on Yahoo. They range from 3 years of involvement (was part of the start of that league) down to a few months for a league that we just started. Currently do all of the methods as well, roto, h2h and points. They are all for free so this will be my first money league! Personally, I'm a huge sports fan in general. Baseball wise, I've poured most of my fandom into the Twins (lifelong Kirby Puckett Fan) and the Cubs. When I moved back into North Iowa 5 years ago, I jumped back on the Twins bandwagon as most were jumping off. Spent a lot of time following the Cubs as well and it has been very enjoyable watching their resurgence. As a whole though, I'm baseball fan in general and love watching all sorts of teams and players. Minors wise, I follow the Twins closely but keep an overall eye on the minors in general due to my current dynasty leagues. No true favorite team but being from Des Moines, always enjoy getting back and watching the ICubs. Besides baseball, huge Packers fan as originally grew up in Wisconsin. (Go Pack Go!) When I'm not doing fantasy (which it looks like I may have a problem lol I'm married and a father or 2 (3 year old daughter and a almost 1 year old son (Sept 3rd bday)). Coming up on 5 years of marriage this month as well. Play slow pitch softball for hobby and I'm in a few different football leagues (both pickem and fantasy, college and pro). Currently in a job switch will eventually involve moving but looking forward to it. Well that was probably more than anyone wanted to know but I suppose if we are going to be doing this for years to come, I may as well let everyone know who I am! Looking forward to the season!

Hey all! Excited to join my first Diamond Duos league! It's seems like it's going to be a lot of fun so hopefully it lasts!
I've been playing fantasy baseball//football for the past 15 or so years. I tried basketball/golf/nascar/hockey but just couldn't get into it. I'm currently in a dynasty football league which is in its 5th year. I've been in numerous dynasty baseball leagues, none of which have lasted longer than 3 years, which I think is attributed to the commissioners. This is by far the most detailed and thorough league I've been a part of so I have high hopes
I'm a huge Dodger and Raider (sad I know) fan. I live in Cali, play adult baseball after playing all my life with a few teams. Baseball is my passion and I swear I was destined to be a GM (weren't we all). Anyways, good luck to all and let's have a blast. Oh, and I'm that guy that is always making moves be it trades, adds, drops....anything.

Hey all! I am excited to join my first Diamond Duos league. I have been playing fantasy baseball for 7 years I am in 4 dynasty leagues one is a 30-teamer and one is a 20-teamer and the other 2 are 14 teamers with very deep minors. I am big baseball fan in general but my favorite teams are the Tigers and I have been to Wrigley field to watch the Cubs so I am a fan of them too since I grew up in Indiana and now reside in Fort Myers Florida.

Hello, I'm Jon (Everyone: "Hello Jon). I've been clean from fantasy baseball for all of 30 minutes now. I'm trying to stop but simply cannot get past my addiction. I need to just do a copy/paste on these things, lol. Ummmm, been playing fantasy baseball since the days of waiting on the morning newspaper to check the stats. Played in just about any type of league you can imagine. Loves these type as they are a lot of fun. I've played in as many as 28 leagues in one season but have cut back down to about 5. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to trade. And I'm pretty easy to trade with. I am 47 years old and a Real Estate investor and I live in Tampa, Florida. Hmmm, what else. Baseball fan of EVERY team but because I am from Georgia I pull for the Braves but go see a lot of Rays games. Florida State is my college football team and Atlanta Falcons NFL team. I'm type AB positive, lol. I think that's all for now. Have fun guys and can't wait to get the season started.

Hello everyone. Super excited to start this new league off on the ground floor. I'm a huge baseball fan and have been since I was a kid. I have played baseball and basketball in HS and ended up playing basketball in college. In college was were i found Fantasy sports and instantly loved it. I first started playing fantasy basketball and baseball and now I only play fantasy football and baseball. I, like many of you guys have been playing fantasy for 15+ years. Every year I wanted more and more of a challenge. Which lead me to the keeper/dynasty leagues which now that is all i care to play. The past 2 years I have been involved with a dynasty league that Jay got me into and I have loved it ever since. I am always very active with my team and I always try to improve. If I'm in first I want to extend my lead, if I'm in last i make moves to move up to 10th. I always hated teams the half way through season they give up and quit because they are in last. NOT THIS GUY. I am originally from the Missouri and am now and have been since I can remember a die hard Cardinals fan. Cardinals my be my team but I can always watch anyone play and have several individual players i like to watch play. Although I cant stand the Cubs, Yankees, Giants or Phillies. For football unfortunately my team is the Rams. Probably not for long when they move to LA. I am proud father of a 2 week old son named Colton, so i look forward to him growing up with baseball in his future and being a new young Cardinal fan. I think if we are going to plan on running this for a long long time we should put it in stone that if any of our kids make it to the Biggs they are automatically on our team. Big hopes lol lol. Good luck guys. I look forward to getting to know all of you and bond over some witty banter and trades.

Hey everybody! Great to read all the intros, it sounds like everybody is raring to go! So... I'm Henry, I a 32-year old analyst from the UK. Have two cats, and a wife who works as a TV producer, which is a ridiculously tough job (she thinks fantasy sports are ridiculous so I often hide in the toilet to feed my addiction). In a previous life I was a Chemist, and wrote a PhD thesis entitled "Transient Optical Studies of Photoinduced Charge Transfer in Semiconductor Quantum Dot Solar Cells". Scary how little I am able to talk to people still in the field- so many things in life are indeed transient! But thankfully this isn't a chemistry league, it's a fantasy league!! And that's a good thing because fantasy baseball is awesome. I play fantasy NFL too, but that's so much of a crapshoot. Baseball has so much data and film to work with, you can work hard and win! I try to read a lot of sabermetric writings, keeping abreast of changing pitch mixes and plate approaches. Of course there is the occasional red herring, but that's what makes it fun!! And with prospects being such a big part of this league, there is a major added dimension. Just imagine if you're the guy who has Carlos Correa locked up for the next four-and-a-bit years, and possibly longer! As Scott mentioned, I took over a team in the original DD league, and for those of you who are new to the genre, don't be put off, it's fun! Trying to weigh up contract length / cost against prospect value is a fun quirk in trades. Am happy to give advice if people want it, and I'll try to remain unbiased . Just remember to watch out for prospect risers in the season and make your monthly claims... And, as in all leagues, get a feel for going rates in trades, if you're going to part with a tasty rental, you gotta get the best price! Can't wait to be shooting the breeze with you all!

Hi everyone,
My name is Alex and I live in Canada and have been a Blue Jays fan my whole life. I played a bit of baseball in university but wasn't very good. So now I'm a software developer which is nice for fantasy baseball because I am never far from the internet.

Hi all. I live in Oxford, MS with my wife and 2.5 year old daughter.
Like many of you, this is my first Diamond Duos league; but, it is definitely not my first rodeo as I have been playing fantasy baseball for the past 17 years in some form or another. Currently, I am the commissioner of a 30-team dynasty league (or, as Scott called it, "probably the most detailed league"), member of a 28-team dynasty league, and now a member of Diamond Duos III. In addition to those perpetual leagues, I am playing in an NFBC-style league (15 team, 5x5 roto with 40 man rosters and 23 active slots and NO transactions during the year). I am also pretty active in daily fantasy sports with baseball and NFL being my primary focus.
Shameless Plug 1: As Scott mentioned, I am always looking for quality owners to take one of the vacant teams in our 30-team dynasty league. If you're interested in learning more, you can talk to me or Scott. Although the league is pretty complex, the day-to-day requirements are pretty minimal. Teams do benefit from active ownership, but the most time-consuming components are preparation for amateur and minor league free agent drafts and off-season free agency.
Shameless Plug 2: I will be planning to participate in one or more NFBC-style leagues again during the 2016 baseball season (largely because they are super challenging to draft, require only weekly transactions, and are the closest redraft leagues can get to simulating the running of a real team). My current league has a $30 buy-in (rather than the minimum $150 to play the official NFBC games). I plan to coordinate a few of these leagues with similar buy-ins with the intent to begin at least one in each of January, February, and March (drafts are slows drafts, meaning teams have 24 hours roughly to make a pick but the expectation is they will not require the full length). I am looking for some early commitments for this league. All funds would be handled via LeagueSafe with payouts/places negotiable among teams that sign up.

Hello Everyone, My name is Brent, I am 49 years old and live in Stockbridge, GA (yeah a southerner born and bred). I am married with 4 kids currently in the house (have a 25 year old also that fortunately is "out on his own," though I use that term loosely), boys ages 20, 15, 5, and a beautiful little girl that will turn 1 on Monday (9/21). I do tech-support for a company called LexisNexis, fortunately I am able to work from home doing it, so it's nice being able to get out of bed at 6:55a and be at work at 7a LOL. The bottom line is my life revolves around my kids and wife, which brings this "old man" great joy. In regards to fantasy sports, I've been involved for the past 20 years or so. I currently commish a 10 team football and baseball league (both full-blown dynasty roto), with the same 10 guys. I front the prize money, which gives me sufficient motivation to try and win every year. I am involved in 10 baseball, 10 football, 4 basketball, and 4 hockey fantasy leagues (much to my wife's consternation). Working at home allows me to spend much of the day perusing over my teams (if somehow my boss reads this, I'm just BSing about that LOL!). I'm really looking forward to this league and the camaraderie that develops with it! Brent

You can call me Jay. I am a stay at home son who lives in the basement. I generally feed and cloth myself with the money that I win in all of the fantasy sports leagues that I dominate. My life's goal is to appear on a Fanduel commercial and become the wingman of the the most interesting man in the world.
Now that I have your attention. I will tell you the real story, LOL! I have a productive career and medium sized family. I am an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and have participated in quite a few fantasy leagues. I enjoy fantasy baseball because of the numbers and the analytics that now drive the sport. I enjoy the concept of team, but feel there is not much more interesting than the best pitcher facing the best hitter in a huge game. Football is awesome because there are only 16 games and everyone one of them is significant. I look forward to kicking it around with you and hope we re successful in creating and sustaining this league.

Hey, guys, I'm Robby. I currently play in an NL only auction keeper league and a few fantasy football leagues. I've been playing fantasy sports for about 5 or 6 years now but at 15 that's an awful lot of my life, especially cause most is baseball. I'm in my Sophomore year of High School. I am a Mets fan and don't have one favorite MILB team, just like to follow the young studs in the minors. Live on Long Island. Love college football, and the Alabama Crimson Tide especially. Can't wait to get this league going and get to know all of you guys!

Hello everyone. I'm Paul. I live in Southern California. If you've never been here, it's not what it looks like on tv, lol.... although last night Katelyn Jenner and one of his/her's daughters were at a restaurant just a few blocks away from where I live, and had my wedding reception =l So you might see a few celebs out here, but the traffic, pollution, and cost of living are enough for me to relocate. Only problem is, anything under 70 degrees is too cold for me, so.... I'm 36 years old with three little children. Luckily my wife is able to stay home with the kids while I work for a children's welfare agency. I enjoy my job but it has its days, and I am a little more involved than I'd like to be, but its all for the children so its all good =) I'm an avid ebay seller. I'm addicted to buying shoes. I have a small baseball card collection that I occasionally add to. I've been playing fantasy sports for 8 years, I think. I started playing DFS a few seasons ago, and currently contribute to Razzball.com and write about player picks on DraftKings. Its a fun little gig but don't think I'll do it next year, as I'd like to focus more on my own blog. That is pretty much it I think. I live a pretty simple life, so feel free to communicate with me because I don't have much of an excuse not to =P

Good morning everyone! My name is Chris McQuid, i'm from Lloydminster, Alberta/Saskatchewan, Canada (Canada's only Border City!) - about 2 hours East of Edmonton, the home of our dismal Oilers. I'm also an Eskimos (CFL Football) season ticket holder. If you haven't checked out CFL....it sucks compared to the NFL, but it isn't bad! I'm a huge Houston Astros fan and it has been a long time coming to watch October baseball again. I became a fan because of Craig Biggio and I was lucky enough to travel to Cooperstown this summer to watch Biggio be inducted into the Hall of Fame. I don't have any teams near me, but my sister lives in South Beach so I have been to a few Marlins games, and i've also been to Cleveland and both New York stadiums. I'm also a Cleveland Browns football fan....so you could say I have had generally terrible luck when it comes to sports the last few years! I work in oil & gas and i'm also a City Councillor in our 'mid-size' City. I am in one 16 team dynasty league which I started but handed over to someone else to run, and also play in a couple of other leagues. I play some fantasy football as well. I have two young daughters and my girlfriend has two young sons, so our house is full and my fantasy sports free time isn't nearly what it used to be, but I still find lots of time to take care of my addiction at work Thanks Scott for the invite, and i'm looking forward to getting started!

Howdy Fellers!
It's been a pleasure getting to know each of you a little through your intros. As one of the newbies here, I'm looking forward to see how this all plays out and learning a little something from each of you crazy fantasy fanatics - and I say that with the utmost affection, as the craziest of you all may just be my boy, Jonathan (Boston Padres aka "Tripp"). At 52 years young, I may be the oldest among us - but I gah-rone-T I have nothing on any of you DD3 dudes - fantasy, dynasty, roto, or H2H -wise!
That said... My fantasy sports experience goes back to the early '80s. Ah, yes... The good old days - when work was fun and I could actually enjoy a cup of coffee and the sports page at my desk. I have fond memories of Monday mornings (haha, yes, I used to look forward to Monday mornings!) - and tabulating all the scores for my FFL. Anyway, after many years of dabbling in other fantasy sports, I've narrowed my focus to just baseball and football. I've been in one FFL with some buddies from church for 15 years - great league! Have been in dozens of Yahoo baseball and football leagues and tried my hand at a few as commissioner. One, for a dynasty baseball league. We had a good 3 year run, but we tried too hard to keep it going just with guys we personally knew. Uh, no... For whatever reason, just didn't work. I know how much goes in to being a commish - so all respect to you fellas that try it, do it, and especially those of you that manage to keep them going (and fun) for years! Also, just finished year one of a promising dynasty baseball league, commished by none other than jctripper - off to a good start there and have high hopes for the future!
I've been married to my beautiful wife, Shelley, for 30 years. We have two awesome adult children, Holly and Jonathan. Jonathan and his adorable wife, Joslen, have blessed us with two seriously amazing grandsons of 7 and 3 years. They are the light of our lives - and they keep us hopping and young!
I work as a Project Manager (former Analytical Chemist) for the top drinking water lab in the USA and dare I say, the world. It's a good job, but I do work too many hours - and unfortunately no time while at work for fantasy sports or other goofing around. Boooo! When I'm not working or chillin' with the Js (Jon, Jos, and the boys) or managing my teams, I squeeze in a little weight and triathlon training. Dodger fan. Sometimes Angel fan. Life long Raiders fan - ever since my Dad brought me home an 8x10 autographed glossy of the Mad Bomber (dang, whatever happened to THAT?). First one who can tell everyone who the Mad Bomber was gets a gold star! :-)

Hi all. I am happy to finally be joining the Diamond Duos Franchise. It seems there are a lot of good folks here so this should be fun for years to come. I've been playing Fantasy Baseball since 2003. That team did fairly well with Todd Helton, MIguel Tejada, Bobby Abreu and Pedro Martinez headlining my draft. But it was lucking out on hidden gems like Javy Lopez, Eric Gagne, Estaban Loaiza (yes), and rookies Miguel Cabrera and Mark Teixeira that hooked me to this game. Since then I've played in Roto, H2H, Points, Keeper, Dynasty and more recently NFBC (sounds like an addiction). Can't say it's always gone well, but it's always been fun. Took a 3 year sabbatical between 2011 and 2013 then found the 30-team WalkOff Dynasty League (Brian/Seattle Dodgers), who I believe found Scott who ... Well here I am. In terms of age, I am young enough to be Scott's little brother and old enough to watch Mike Schmidt, George Brett, Robin Yount and Rickey Henderson in their prime as a kid while watching Pete Rose and Rod Carew on their second teams at the end of their careers and still think they were the best players I had ever seen.
I am straight outta ChiTown and have a young family that pretty much dominates my time and my life. It's all about baseball/softball games, soccer matches, gymnastics, karate, swimming, date nights, ... My work (Business Finance) takes up most of the remainder of my time with home maintenance bringing up the rear. What's left over is reserved for fantasy sports, sexting and arguing about sports & stuff with folks on social media.
Best wishes and again looking forward to competing with you all.

Hey everyone! My name is Jacob Swain and I am taking over the Pittsburgh Tigers. I've been playing fantasy baseball for probably 20 years but this will be my first dynasty league. I grew up playing baseball all through high school and was even recruited (however briefly) to pitch in college. I am married and have 3 boys ( twins age 9 and another son age 7). We live in a small town in southern Virginia called Clarksville. My wife and I met at Elon University where we graduated in 2004. I serve on our local Dixie Youth Baseball board of directors and coach there as well. Baseball has been a constant positive in my life. Looking forward to learning the league and having a great time.

Hi everyone, sorry for the late introduction! I'm Ed Kiss (yes KISS, it's common Hungarian name, as common as Jones or Smith stateside) owner of the Boston Padres. I've been playing fantasy for 30 years, including one league for 25 years. It's our 25th anniversary this year, a 20 team keeper league, with the draft taking place in Atlantic City. I was an attorney with my own practice for 20 years. A few years ago I went back to working as a project manager for a general contractor. I done construction from 9th grade on with my dad who worked for a large construction company. I worked construction literally off school day through high school and college and even a few years after law school. I just got recently remarried, no kids, though I have two German Shepherds who get treated as my children. I live about an hour and ten minutes north of NYC in Ridgefield CT. I have season tickets right behind the plate to short season NY Penn League TB Rays and I get to at least a dozen Mets games a year (a friend I made 15 years ago playing fantasy baseball works in the Mets' ticket office so I get great seats cheap or even free) and one or two Yankee games a year. I'm heading down to Jupiter FL for spring training again this year for the third year in a row. I'll be down there for 6 days seeing Cardinals, Astros Nationals Mets and Marlins a bunch so holler if you have any specific requests. I generally respond better to texts at 347 219 6991 as usually where I am working this is crummy internet service. I like making deals but rarely do something off the cuff quickly, I like to research and see what stats my team needs before I pull a trigger. My biggest claim to fame was stuffing Felipe Lopez from St Johns during a pick up basketball game while I was at St John's law school. He promptly came down after the stuff dunked on me. I also travel to one MLB stadium a year to knock off the list. Last year was CO, year before Pitt, then CHi Cubs and STL. This year is Brewers so gimme any advice on what to see and do!
